President-elect of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, has expressed his concerns about the fragile state of global affairs, attributing much of the tension to what he perceives as unwise actions by certain world leaders.
During his speech at the opening of the Forum Sinergitas Legislator PKB in Jakarta on Thursday (October 10), Prabowo warned that the world is currently in a delicate state due to the attitudes of some world leaders. He criticized nations that prioritize imposing their will on others, emphasizing the importance of global harmony through tolerance and mutual respect.
Prabowo highlighted the ongoing conflicts between Israel and Iran, noting the devastating human cost of these disputes, with many innocent civilians losing their lives. He pointed out the potential for escalation between the two countries, with Israel threatening to attack Iran and Iran prepared to retaliate on a large scale.
Despite the global instability, Prabowo commended Indonesia for maintaining peace, crediting the country’s openness to dialogue and collaboration among different elements, including political parties. He expressed confidence in the collaboration with PKB, despite their support for a different candidate in the previous election, emphasizing the value of respecting differences while working together towards nation-building.
Prabowo concluded by stressing the importance of cooperation and unity in building a strong and prosperous nation, regardless of political differences.
