Rama, a single mother from Bogor Regency, West Java, found solace and hope in the government’s Sekolah Rakyat (People’s School) for her son, Ridwan. Despite facing financial hardships after her husband’s passing, Rama was touched by the care and respect her son received at the tuition-free boarding school. She shared how she initially struggled to send Ridwan to school after completing elementary education due to unemployment and limited resources. However, a social worker’s visit and the opportunity for her son to enroll at Sekolah Rakyat changed everything. Moved by the school’s order, care, and attention towards her child, Rama expressed gratitude for the support that came when she needed it the most. Ridwan, who had faced bullying in the past, now had a chance to thrive in a safe and nurturing environment. Rama dreams of her son’s success and thanked President Prabowo Subianto and the program’s creators for their assistance and initiative in supporting families like hers. Through her experience, Rama witnessed firsthand the positive impact of Sekolah Rakyat on her son’s self-worth and her own hope for a better future.
