President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, visited Klaten, Central Java, on Monday afternoon (July 21) to inaugurate the Merah Putih Village Cooperative Program, a key initiative of his administration. The President’s arrival was met with excitement from residents, teachers, and schoolchildren who lined the roads to welcome him. The atmosphere was festive as people cheered and called out his name as his motorcade passed by. Dressed in a brown suit and black peci (cap), President Prabowo interacted with the public by waving, smiling, and even handing out shirts to the crowd. The enthusiasm continued all the way to Klaten, where a larger crowd eagerly awaited his arrival. The official launch of the Merah Putih Village Cooperative took place in Bentangan Village, Wonosari District. This program, a key component of President Prabowo’s economic agenda, aims to establish over 80,000 cooperatives nationwide by October 28, 2025. These cooperatives will play a vital role in strengthening rural economies, improving farmers’ livelihoods, and generating new employment opportunities, promoting inclusive development from the grassroots level upwards.
