Deputy for Dissemination and Media Affairs at the Presidential Communication Office (PCO), Noudhy Valdryno, highlighted President Prabowo Subianto’s dedication to enhancing the role of Indonesian scientists globally. President Prabowo aims for closer cooperation between Indonesian researchers and international scientists to pave the way for Indonesia’s development as a developed nation. He encourages scientists to actively engage with the public, recognizing their crucial role in achieving the administration’s goal of 8 percent economic growth in the next five years. This vision aligns with the Asta Cita, specifically the fourth pillar focusing on human resource development, science, technology, education, health, sports, gender equality, and empowerment. In line with this objective, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek) is hosting the 2025 Indonesian Science, Technology, and Industry Convention (KSTI) from August 7 to 9 at Sasana Budaya Ganesa (Sabuga), Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), West Java. The PCO commends the convention as a vital platform to bring together the nation’s top scientific minds. Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, Brian Yuliarto, emphasized the importance of KSTI 2025 as an initiative to unite researchers and academics in STEM fields and advance the nation. With the theme “Science and Technology for Economic Growth and Equity,” KSTI 2025 serves as a collaborative forum to accelerate Indonesia’s transition into a high-value-added industrial economy. The event has attracted over 2,000 scientists nationwide, showcasing its strategic significance in driving scientific progress and economic development.
