President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, embarked on a journey to Bandung, West Java, on Wednesday evening via the Whoosh high-speed train. Traveling with members of the public from Halim Station in Jakarta, the President arrived at the station at approximately 7:45 p.m. local time. Adorned in a cream-colored outfit, complete with a matching jacket and navy blue cap, Prabowo seamlessly blended in with fellow passengers as he scanned his boarding card at the ticket gate and ascended the escalator to the platform.
His presence elicited surprise and excitement among commuters, who eagerly waved back as Prabowo made his way to the platform, engaging warmly with the crowd. Prior to boarding the train, he graciously posed for photos with the Whoosh crew. The high-speed train then departed for Tegalluar Station in Bandung precisely at 8:00 p.m.
President Prabowo is set to inaugurate the 2025 Indonesian Convention on Science, Technology, and Industry (KSTI) at Sasana Budaya Ganesa (Sabuga), Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), from August 7 to 9. Alongside Nobel Laureate Konstantin Novoselov and Minister of Education, Science, and Technology Brian Yuliarto, he will deliver the keynote address at the convention with the theme “Economic Growth and Equity Through Mastery of Science and Technology,” positioning KSTI 2025 as a pivotal strategic forum on both national and international platforms.
