President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, warmly welcomed the President of Peru, Dina Ercilia Boluarte Zegarra, during her visit to the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta. The state ceremony was accompanied by the presence of approximately 3,000 students from various schools in the capital city. President Boluarte’s motorcade, escorted by motorcycle troops and mounted guards, made its way from the National Monument to the palace gates, where she was personally greeted by President Prabowo. Both leaders stood together as the national anthems of Peru and Indonesia were played, followed by an inspection of the honor guard and paying respects to their national flags. During the ceremony, the official delegations of both countries were introduced, with Prabowo accompanied by key ministers including the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of State Secretariat, Minister of Investment, Minister of Agriculture, Minister of Trade, and the Cabinet Secretary. Subsequently, a bilateral meeting was held with the aim of strengthening the relationship between Indonesia and Peru as both countries are members of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC). This meeting was a reciprocal gesture following Prabowo’s visit to Peru last year, emphasizing the ongoing diplomatic exchange between the two nations.
