Citizens from various regions of Indonesia came together at the National Monument (Monas) in Jakarta to celebrate the country’s 80th Independence Day on Sunday, August 17. The atmosphere was vibrant with a cultural parade leading towards the State Palace, where heartfelt prayers and hopes were expressed for President Prabowo Subianto and the future of the nation.
Aryati, a resident of Karanganyar Subdistrict, Sawah Besar District, shared her excitement at being part of the parade. She expressed her happiness and enthusiasm for participating in the event and hoped that Indonesia’s independence would pave the way for progress and prosperity for all its people. She prayed for President Prabowo’s health and for the country to enjoy peace, prosperity, and harmony.
Another participant echoed Aryati’s sentiments and emphasized the importance of national unity. She emphasized the need to avoid conflicts between ethnic groups and religions.
Satim, a resident of Kampung Rawa, Johar Baru, Central Jakarta, also expressed his pride and happiness in being part of the celebration. He wished for greater success, progress, prosperity, and welfare for Indonesia, emphasizing the importance of strong leadership that prioritizes the protection and service of the people.
